CONDUCTING
As well as working with small groups, Dr. Campbell is in demand as a conductor. Currently, Dr. Campbell is the director of the Gasparilla Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble, as well as the Interim Associate Conductor of the Tampa Brass Band.
In the past, Aaron was the director of the Tampa Youth Brass Band, and was the Interim director of the University of Tampa Orchestra.
Gasparilla Tuba-Euph Ensemble
The Gasparilla Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble is a chamber music ensemble comprised of tuba and euphonium performers in both the Tampa Brass Band and the Tampa Youth Brass Band. This unique situation allows for students and professionals to work collaboratively, while simultaneously giving all involved the opportunity to perform works outside of the Brass Band medium. The ensemble was founded in 2023 by Dr. Aaron K. Campbell for the 2023 International euphonium tuba festival in Atlanta, GA. However, the ensemble also plans to perform on the Tampa Brass Band spring chamber series, and to apply to perform at other regional tuba/euphonium conferences, and Florida brass events.
